These Metal Injection Molded fittings in seamless configurations are impossible to produce with welded fabrication. Molybdenum bearing, austenitic 316L stainless products are far more resistant to pitting and corrosion than those built using welded 304 stainless steel construction. 316L molybdenum bearing stainless steel has excellent impact and chemical resistance, but is less resistant than other types of stainless steel to highly oxidizing acids, such as nitric acid. 316L Stainless Steel products meet the chemical and mechanical property specifications of ASTM A240 and ASME SA-240.
