The SMGR Series is a Peroxide-Cured product. It's construction consists of a core silicone elastomer, an open polyester braid reinforcing layer and a cover layer of silicone elastomer. It is not recommended for implantable or in body uses and should be sterilized prior to use. If exposed to repeated steam sterilization or long term high temperature or pressure, silicone will eventually become gummy. It should then be replaced. All pressure testing of the product was done at room temperature.
