The SMGX Series is a Platinum-Cured product that conforms to the biocompatibility requirements of USP Class VI. The surface properties of the tubing resist sticking and encrustation. This enables it to repel bacteria growth. The tubing is soft, pliable and contains no plasticizers. It is not recommended for implantable or in-body uses and should be sterilized prior to use. If exposed to repeated steam sterilization or long term high temperature or pressure, silicone will eventually become gummy.
